This year we all escaped to the
Lake District for
the Autumn half term, staying at Cumbria
House guesthouse: very friendly and comfortable. Interesting
weather data and some good walks.
What we really liked was its location in Keswick.
For three days we didn't use the car at all as we were able to
do all the walks from the guesthouse.
So, What did we do?
1. Get wet and get blown away... it was the Lakes in October after
all.
2. Updated fleeces and waterproofs!
3. Eat out at Hooley's Bistro (good), Greensleeves restaurant
(quite good),t on some walks ( see next page) and visited the
pencil museum (again),
and the Motor Museum
(again)
